Some Common Uses: treat headaches, and other aliments relating to the nervous system.  It also has astringent and alternative action.  Historical use by Europeans include as a remedy for respiratory tract inflammations, heartburn, intestinal worm infestations, varicose veins and urinary tract infections. It has been used externally for repair to wounds and rashes.
